Dr. Gary Pointer attended TCU and did his post graduate dental training at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Pointer opened his private practice in Fort Worth in September of 1979 and has provided contemporary, comfortable dental care to Fort Worth area patients ever since. Dr. Pointer has been voted among the Top Dentists in Fort Worth by his peers.
Dr. Pointer has been a member of TCU’s Sports Medicine Department for over 30 years providing the highest level of care to intercollegiate student athletes. In 2017, he was made an honorary member of the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association (SWATA) for his contributions to Sports Medicine at TCU.
Dr. Pointer proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Gary Patterson Foundation which supports economically disadvantaged children in the city of Fort Worth.
Dr. Pointer is married to Denise Mack Pointer. They have two grown children and four perfect grandchildren, all residing in Fort Worth. In his free time, Dr. Pointer is an avid golfer and die-hard TCU Frog fan.
